Founders Natalya Ayers & Fiona Inglis
In 2011 we established PYRUS, our botanical studio and Victorian walled flower garden near Edinburgh, Scotland.
Our intention was to grow unusual, scented blooms for our own creative practice; flowers we found frustratingly difficult to source in Britain. The cutting garden quickly became a passion and the journey from seed to bloom is central to our creative practice.
With backgrounds in fine and applied art we are endlessly inspired by the patterns and rhythms of nature and reference poetry, perfume and sculpture among our influences. Working across the mediums of contemporary horticulture, photography, film, installation art and events, we have built close relationships with creative producers, stylists, artists, photographers and brands.
