Flowers for Growers
To celebrate British Flowers Week, this workshop will focus on the skills we need to grow flowers for cutting. The day will cover aspects of planning to ensure season long flowers, how to harvest and identify the correct ripeness, and conditioning techniques. We will test out this new knowledge in the walled garden and choose some flowers to condition and design with. After some refreshments and a demonisation from Fiona, you will be guided through the process of making your own table design. You will discover the importance of shape and movement in a design, while connecting and developing your own personal style.
This workshop is suitable for all flower lovers, gardeners, and flower growers. By the end of the workshop you will be confident in planning, cutting, and harvesting to the highest standards, and know exactly what to pick to make your own unique design.
