THE WALLED GARDEN

A SPACE FOR GROWING
AND GATHERING.

Inside our Victorian walls, we grow flowers not for mass production or mainstream appeal, but for their scent, character and the stories they tell. Cultivated slowly using low-impact, chemical-free methods, each stem is chosen for what it expresses—when the moment is right.

Our planting follows the rhythm of the months: scented heirloom tulips and rare narcissi in early spring, a garden thick with perfume by summer, golden branches and seedheads come autumn and the pared-back textures of winter.

These are flowers with personality—grown for their natural beauty and shaped by the Scottish seasons. Nothing is flown in. Everything begins here.

THE WALLED GARDEN

occasional bunches.

We occasionally offer bunches, planters and wreaths throughout the year—each one shaped by what the garden produces in that moment. Every piece is made using seasonal materials grown here or gathered nearby, and no two are ever quite the same.

While these often sell out quickly, the sold-out pieces below give a sense of what’s possible. Sign up to our mailing list to be notified of our first cuts and future offerings.

You can buy a gift voucher specifically for our seasonal blooms and botanicals; these can be purchased here.

PYRUS PAVILION

an open studio nestled in the heart of the walled garden—designed for stillness, creativity and connection.

Built in collaboration with James Nelson of Bothanna, the PYRUS Pavilion reflects our ethos in both form and function.

Crafted by hand using Scottish Douglas fir and traditional joinery techniques, including hand-carved oak pegs, the structure was prefabricated in James’ East Lothian workshop before being assembled on site. The shingle paneling on the rear wall, reminiscent of books in a library, nods to the stories and custodians of the garden’s past.

Constructed using low-intervention timber methods and natural, untreated materials sourced from local sawmills, the PYRUS Pavilion is designed to shift and settle with the rhythm of the garden. With no doors, glazing or electricity, it is open to the elements—encouraging presence, attentiveness and slow, intentional work.
