the walled garden
The origin of our work and home to the PYRUS Pavilion.
Our Victorian walled garden is more than a source of materials—it’s the heart of PYRUS. Here, on three sheltered acres near Edinburgh, we grow unusual, scented and seasonal flowers that fuel our design work and supply the wider floral community.
The garden is also home to the PYRUS Pavilion, a creative space for workshops and gatherings, where nature sets the rhythm and creativity flows.

Netting removed in spring to let blooms emerge.
ETHOS
our story, values and
creative philosophy.
PYRUS is a specialist botanical design studio rooted in a Victorian walled garden in Pencaitland, East Lothian—just outside Edinburgh.
Established in 2011, we work exclusively with UK-grown materials—much of it cultivated by our own hands. Our work is led by the seasons, shaped by the land and guided by a commitment to sustainable design without compromise.
We believe flowers evoke a sense of time and place—creating moments that feel both natural and profound.
PORTFOLIO
A curated archive of past work across disciplines.
Every project begins with the garden. Whether creating large-scale installations, editorial florals or immersive compositions for events, our work is defined by its seasonality, sculptural form and quiet detail.
We collaborate with photographers, designers, brands, event planners and private clients to realise projects that are immersive, intentional and utterly of the moment.
