Senior Florist
& Studio Coordinator
This role is ideal for a creative florist, passionate about sustainable design. Our studio uses only British flowers, most of which is grown in our walled garden. This is an exciting opportunity to assist with and develop our new pop up Edinburgh Flower Market, and Corporate Accounts, while supporting our existing studio work. We are looking for an individual with a confident creative vision, keen eye for detail, superb customer facing communication, and a desire to push the boundaries of floral design. Occasional evening, and some weekend are work required.
Essential skills
A minimum of three years employed floristry experience
A strong interest or passion for working with seasonal, British grown flowers
Clean driving license and confidence driving a transit sized van
Images or portfolio of your own work to submit with your application
Self motivated, working predominantly independently, or occasionally in a small team
Great time management, communication, and organisation skills, with a positive disposition
Keen eye for detail, and creative problem solving skills

The Senior Florist & Studio Coordinator’s role
This role’s priority will focus on managing and developing our weekly corporate accounts, and seasonal retail markets, which are both new aspects to the business. You will assist on setting up new systems, develop professional relationships, while organising stock and vessels. You will work closely with Fiona, the owner, to develop and research corporate designs and commissions.
Corporate Accounts:
Creating and delivering weekly botanical designs to businesses across Edinburgh
Professional and friendly client communication in person and via email, responding to feedback and requests
All associated administration, and record keeping
Managing vessels, audits, and new commissions
Researching and developing seasonal designs suitable for each corporate environment individually
Retail:
Assist and host pop up flower markets throughout the season
Inspire conversations around sustainable floristry and the importance of locally grown flowers
Assist with marketing and social media
Studio Coordination:
Maintaining order in the studio and a good stock of sundries
Managing a vessel and prop inventory
Preparing all props for pre and post event production
Assisting with wedding and event work, both in the studio and onsite when required
Preparing all required stock and equipment for upcoming workshops in the garden
Assisting with harvesting and gardening when required
Responding to emails, enquiries and light administration
